Required Networking

- 100-Base-T Switched Network or greater
- 100-Base-T Shared Network (Four Seasons Current
Configuration)
- 10-Base-T Switched Network
- 10-Base-T Shared Network
The most basic networking equipment required
to operate is a network hub and appropriate cabling.
If Internet access is involved we recommend placing
a router and firewall between the client’s
network and the Internet access device if a router
is not supplied as is the case for Cable and DSL
modems.
Network Protocol
must be TCP/IP (Internet protocol). IP addresses
may be assigned by a DHCP server or hard-coded.
Remote Access
to the StoryKeeper server via the internet should
be secured through the use of a firewall and router,
at the very least a router configured with port
blocking.
Dial-up VPN access
is possible through the use of Windows 2000, Linux
or other means.
Dial-up Access
may also be done through PCAnywhere, etc.
